At Ächtung Kraft in Salem, Wisconsin, we design and build custom Porsche and performance parts — from one-off cars to precision-made components.
We’re looking for curious, motivated people who love working with their hands and want to grow their skills in a fun, creative shop.
No formal training? No problem. If you like to build, tinker, fix, or figure things out — we’ll teach you the rest.
Now Hiring: Entry-Level Shop Assistant / Fabrication Trainee
This is a hands-on, learn-as-you-go role where you’ll help build, organize, and assemble custom car parts. You’ll start with production and shop support — and as you learn, you’ll take on more fabrication, wiring, and assembly work.
What You’ll Do
• Help assemble and finish custom car parts
• Assist with packaging and shipping orders
• Keep tools, materials, and work areas organized
• Work side-by-side with experienced builders and fabricators
• Learn welding, shaping, and hands-on fabrication techniques
What We’re Looking For
• Passion for cars, creativity, and craftsmanship
• Some hands-on experience (shop class, hobby projects, etc.)
• Good work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
• Positive attitude — open to learning and new challenges
What You’ll Get
• Full-time, Monday–Friday schedule (with occasional overtime)
• On-the-job training — we’ll teach you the skills you need
• Growth opportunities in fabrication, design, and assembly
• Creative, supportive team environment
Who Thrives Here
If any of this sounds like you, you’ll feel right at home at Ächtung Kraft:
• You’ve worked on cars, bikes, or projects in your garage
• You like figuring out how things go together — and how to make them better
• You’ve taken shop class, done 3D printing, or built something from scratch
• You care about doing things right and take pride in the details
We’re building a team that values creativity, precision, and craftsmanship — and we believe great builders can come from anywhere.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Time-management skills to complete deadline-sensitive projects.
- A valid U.S. work permit and driver’s license (manual transmission skills are a plus).
- Basic computer skills (for timesheets, part orders, etc.)
- Reliable transportation and willingness to work overtime when needed.
- Ability to handle physical requirements, including but not limited to, repeated bending stretching, twisting, and lifting up-to 50lbs and working with your hands all day.
- No criminal history
How You’ll Grow
You’ll start by helping with shop operations and parts production.
As you learn, you’ll move into fabrication, prototyping, and even assist on full custom builds.
We’ll support you with training, mentorship, and tools to grow your career in the automotive world.
