The mirror mounts through the Lexan to a low-profile internal backing plate, so all hardware is hidden once the panel is reinstalled in the frame. Same compact bullet housing with custom convex glass for a wide, confidence-building view.

Install Overview

Remove the OEM vent glass and fit a UV-stable Lexan panel (typically 3–4 mm). Mark and drill the panel using the template, then sandwich the Lexan between the Aero base and the hidden backing plate. Reinstall the panel into the wing frame—no external fasteners visible.

FAQs

Is any hardware visible? No—the hardware is captured behind the Lexan and concealed by the wing frame.
Can I mount to glass? No—do not drill tempered glass; this design is for polycarbonate (Lexan) panels only.
Does the vent still open? Many builds fix the vent closed for rigidity; if you keep it functional, verify sweep clearance before final tightening.
