You could call this one of the original Porsche outlaws, after this 356 SL raced at Lemans it was customized into a convertible and raced across the USA including an appearance in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin at the 1952 Road Races that helped to create the passion to build the iconic Road America race track with its first race 3 years later in 1955.
